What ‘trusting the process’ feels like.
In life, when you decide to trust your intuition and go on a journey to find your purpose and your meaningful life, it will be magical. But it will also be an intense roller coaster. Crazy highs and super low lows. But trusting when you follow your intuition, you just have to trust the process - it's the best guide through.
In a recent Thrive interview, Christina Ballinger asked me to put into words what ‘trusting the process feels like.’ I wanted to share with you because I think it will help you on your journey ahead. It's also how it feels when you go on a journey to understanding yourself and releasing your anxiety. Hope this helps if anyone was considering taking it!
The journey will feel like a big effing roller coaster! Like writing with your left hand! (if you're a righty). Like driving on the wrong side of the road. Uncomfortable AF.
But also like flying - like being in absolute beautiful flight, arms stretched in the sky, clouds going through your fingers, fresh breeze in your face. It’s the best feeling in the world. Peaceful and empowered and excited, full of trust and anticipation.
It’s uncomfortable and unnatural at first because we’re taught to mentally plan everything and the illusion of control gives us a false sense of peace.
But once you realize all your planning isn’t getting you there - and you connect to your higher self as a guide - you’ll experience the magic and see just how much more powerful this approach can be. That is my deepest wish for you.
This journey toward a meaningful fulfilling life will have so many frustratingly confusing moments. I get that. Highs that feel like the biggest breakthroughs, and lows that feel like you receded. And often you can feel like giving up.
There’s so much for you to discover. Your curious questioning mind that can sometimes feel confusing and frustrating is all just leading you there - new adventures, new chapters, new versions of you to unfold. Your confusion is there to point you in that direction, move toward it.
Big, big hugs!
